Chapter 3:
Installation Instructions
To install this kit, complete the following steps in order.
3.1
Removing Reel Drive Cover
The reel drive cover protects the drive components from weather and debris. The two-piece cover can be removed to
access the components for service.
DANGER
To avoid injury or death from unexpected start-up of machine, always stop the engine and remove the key from the
ignition before leaving the operator
’
s seat for any reason.
1.
Start the engine.
2.
Adjust the reel fully forward.
3.
Lower the header fully.
4.
Shut down the engine, and remove the key from the ignition.

Rotate spring latch (A) up and over the back plate.

Unclip upper cover (A) from the lower cover at
locations (B), and remove the upper cover. Keep the two
clips engaged on the lower cover.
