1.  At times, it may be necessary to adjust the 

Fowlers on the General Transport Stretcher. To do 

this, first unscrew the 4 screws securing the Fowler 

Release Cover. 

2.  After unscrewing the 4 screws, remove the 

Fowler Release Cover.

3.  The retaining pin 

is located in this 

enclosed area 

which is located on 

both sides of the 

stretcher.

4.  Adjust the hex nuts 

on both Fowlers 

(red circled area) 

which will move 

the retaining pin 

up or down on the 

Fowlers.

5.  In the views below, the retaining pin can be 

seen.
