Setup
5. Screw the trimmer head (18) onto the spindle (21e) and tighten it
counterclockwise by hand.
6. Remove the spindle lock rod (24) (Fig. 8).

Cutter blade
1. Rotate the backing flange (21d) until its hole is aligned with the notch in the
gear head.
2. Insert the spindle lock rod (24) into the hole to lock the spindle (21e).
3. Loosen the trimmer head (18) clockwise by hand and remove it together with
the locking flange (21c).
4. Fit the cutter blade (21) onto the spindle (21e). Ensure that the cutter blade (21)
sits flush on the extruded ring on the backing flange (21d).
5. Place the locking flange (21c) onto the cutter blade (21).
6. Secure the cutter blade (21) by tightening the nut (21a) counter-clockwise
using the supplied multi tool (23) and spindle lock rod (24).
7. Remove the multi tool (23) and the spindle lock rod (24).
8. Remove the blade protector (21f) (if provided) from the cutter blade (21)
before operation (Fig. 9).
