connecting the pipes
Install the flare nuts on the outdoor unit valves using the same
tightening procedure described for the indoor unit.
To avoid leaks, pay special attention to the following points:
1. Tighten the flare nuts using a proper wrench. Pay attention not to
damage the pipes.
2. If the tightening torque is not enough, there will probably be
some leaks. If tightening torque is excessive, there will also be
some leakage, and the flange could also be damaged.
3. The safest way is using both, a wrench and a torque wrench. In
this case refer to the tables included in the last pages of this
manual to obtain the correct tightening torque.
purging the pipes
Air and moisture inside the refrigerant circuit over time will cause
compressor malfunction. After having connected the indoor and
outdoor units, and before opening the valves, purge the air and
moisture from the refrigerant
circuit by using a vacuum pump.
