WebGate 3G Module

The SubConnect module cannot use a wireless connection.

It is important that each control linked to the network possesses the
same network number (RF Network) as the address (RF Address)
assigned to the unit coordinating the Wi-Farm network (coordinator).

A total of 500 units may be connected in wireless mode.

The total of units in both wired and wireless modes cannot exceed 500.

3.

Configure sub-stations:

If your installation includes SubConnect sub-

stations, follow activation steps described in each sub-station installation
guide.

4.

Activate WebGate 3G module

: Connect the transformer into a wall outlet.

Make sure the LCD display lights up.

5.

Perform unit detection test

: This procedures goal is to initialize the

WebGate 3G module and to verify its communication with the controls and
SubConnect modules. You can find the navigation buttons provided for this
purpose and an LCD display on the WebGate 3G faceplate.

To access the installation menu, press and hold the “Select” button for about 3
seconds.

Warning, as long as the WebGate 3G is in installation mode,

communication to the FarmQuest server is interrupted, therefore
controls will no longer be checked.

Once in the installation menu, use the

“Menu” button to navigate through the installation menus.

To view the number of units connected to the WebGate 3G, repeatedly press
the “Menu” button until the display shows “Units Connected Total”. The total
number of units appears on the second line of the LCD display. If there is a
problem with one or more units, an exclamation point in brackets will appear
alternating with a “Problems, See unit list” message.

To view the “RF Address” of wireless units or the “Unit ID” of wired units
and view (according to the situation) the details of problem units, when you
see the total number of units, press the up or down arrows to scroll through all
units connected to the WebGate 3G.

What to do if the number of controls is incorrect?

:

Verify the list of controls detected. Each time the up or down arrow is pressed,
the display will show the next unit found in ascending order. You will then be
aware of the controls or SubConnect modules that were not detected. For the
controls that were not detected, make the following verifications:

-

In the case of a wired connection, verify that the “Unit ID” numbers
have been correctly assigned on all controls and SubConnect
modules. The WebGate module cannot detect units whose ID
number is used on more than one control or SubConnect module.
