PUMP DESCRIPTION AND OPERATING PRINCIPLE OF SIDE CHANNEL PUMPS

The MODULAR V pumps are vane pumps, horizontal multistage magnetic drive. Airtight construction, with

internal cartridge full extension, with magnetic drive meets the requirements of work safety, functional safety
and environmental protection. Conceptually they are constituted by a rotor, within which slide radially in four

blade tribological material, placed at the periphery by a said stator ring, which has as peculiarity the fact of
having a cam profile on the inside. This profile determines the possibility on the part of the vanes, which slide

inside this, to isolate a specific portion of liquid, the liquid that comes from the suction duct, and push it towards
the delivery duct, without the possibility of leakage.
The amount of liquid depends substantially isolated by the eccentricity of the same stator, while the absence of

leakage depends on the precision of execution. At the end of the "rooms" pumping, they are placed two discs,
which in addition to the task to confine axially the rotor, serve at the same time by radial Shaft supporting, acting

as plain bearings.
In the above, it adds the feature of the modular design, which allows to couple several pumping stages, up to a
maximum of 6, allowing it to multiply the discharge pressure produced by the pump. The program includes 13

sizes, referred to as VA, VB, VM with a high interchangeability between components that allows a reduction in
costs of spare parts.

Applications

pumps  in  general,  this  model  is  ideal  for  clean  liquids  slightly  contaminated,  no  particles  that  may  become

magnetized;

the  maximum  working  pressure  of  the  plant, the  temperature  suitable  and  the  maximum  rotation  speed

depends

on

the

type

of

pump

and

it

is

specified

in

the

"TECHNICAL

DATA".

Other uses are not permitted because you must comply with the conditions of use in "TECHNICAL DATA": the
use of a pump in a plant or in fluid conditions different from those for which the pump was designed, can lead to

dangerous situations for the user.
