The Solar Bell is factory pre-programmed with the
Bell Box convertor. Normally you do not need to
reprogram. To reprogram it, please see the following:

Program the Solar Bell with Bell Box convertor

a.)

To reprogram it, you have to reset the Bell Box convertor by

pushing the program button (Fig. 1) and hold on it for 5 to 10

seconds. The LED on the convertor will light on green color,

then switch off to indicate the reset of the convertor.

b.)

To program the Solar Bell with the Bell Box convertor, press

once on the program button on the convertor.

c.)

The signal LED on the Bell Box convertor will light on green

color for 20 seconds. (Fig. 4)

d.)

During this 20 seconds, switch the BATT ON/OFF switch on

the Solar Bell to “ON” position, then the Solar Bell will

communicate with the Bell Box convertor. (Fig. 5)

e.)

The Bell Box convertor LED will flash twice, then the LED

will switch off, which means the Solar Bell is programmed /

learnt with the Bell Box convertor.

f.)

Set up the Cut-Off Timer on the Solar Bell (Fig. 5)

g.)

Once the 6V lead acid & 9V alkaline batteries are connected

and the Solar Bell is programmed with the Bell Box

convertor, the unit enters the Engineering Mode for a

period of 6 minutes to allow you to fit and secure the lid

of the unit to its base.

Operation

5.

Make sure to connect the Bell Box convertor with the Control Panel STB, TRIG, -RTN.

6.

Mount the Solar Bell on the selected location of the premises. After securing of the lid of the Solar Bell to

its base and 6 minutes of Engineering Mode past, you can test the siren & strobe of the Solar Bell.

7.

Trigger

a.)

If the Bell Box convertor receives BELL or STB on/off signal from control panel, it will transmit

the corresponding signals to the Solar Bell.

b.)

When the Solar Bell receives the BELL ON or STB ON signals, the siren or the strobe will be

turned on. If no BELL OFF signal is received, the siren will automatically stop after 3 or 15

minutes (depending on “Cut-off timer selection” as per Fig. 5). The strobe will flash once per

CAUTION: If the cover or lid cannot close probably, the Solar Bell Box will alarm “sound” after 6

minutes when you power up the Solar Bell Box.
