Bluetooth Ring Scanner Guide

UPC/EAN/JAN Supplemental Redundancy 

Parameter Default Value: 

10 Times 

With Autodiscriminate UPC/EAN Supplementals selected, this option adjusts the number of times 
a symbol without supplementals is decoded before transmission. The range is from 2 to 30 times. 
Five or above is recommended when decoding a mix of UPC/EAN/JAN symbols with and without 
supplementals, and the autodiscriminate option is selected. 

To begin setting the decode redundancy value, scan this barcode: 

 

Next, scan two numeric barcodes that correspond to the desired value using the “Imager Keypad 
Number Symbols” at the end of this chapter. Single digit numbers must have a leading zero. 

To correct an error or change a selection, scan Cancel on the “Imager Keypad Number Symbols” 
page.

This parameter determines whether the symbol will be transmitted with or without the UPC-A 
check digit.
