X-WAV™ KIT QUICK INSTALL GUIDE

THE X-WAV™ OUTDOOR WI-FI RANGE EXTENDER ANTENNA KIT 
INCLUDES THE FOLLOWING: 

•  X-WAV XW-24-FP14  14dBi High Gain 2.4GHz Flat Panel CPAntenna 
•  36” Coax cable (N-Male to RP-SMA)
•  HDW-AM-UOD outdoor mounting bracket
•  Quick Install Guide

GETTING STARTED: ADDITIONAL ITEM REQUIRED

•  EnGenius EOC1650 Wireless Access Point (WAP)

Included with the EOC1650: 802.11b/g Long range AP/CB (EOC1650), POE injector (EPE-
1212), Power Adaptor, CD with User’s Manual, Quick Installation Guide(QIG), Metal strap, 
Special screwset.

•  External Ethernet cable from your data source/network (Max. length 329’ or 100 

meters).

Disconnect all power before connecting or disconnecting any cables, coax or

 

antennas to or from this device. Failure to do so will void your warranty. 

SETTING UP YOUR X-WAV™ OUTDOOR 
WI-FI RANGE EXTENDER ANTENNA KIT

Connecting the EnGenius EOC1650 to the Antenna 

(diagram 1)

1.  Remove the connector cover on the back of 

the EOC1650 to access the antenna switch 
labeled INT - EXT

2. Set the switch to EXT to use the External 

Antenna port

3. Connect the RP-SMA end of the coax cable 

to the external antenna connector on the 
top of the EOC1650

4. Connect the N-Male connector of the coax 

cable to the antenna.

POSITIONING YOUR X-WAV™ OUTDOOR RANGE EXTENDER KIT

The X-WAV™ Outdoor Wi-Fi Range Extender Antenna Kit features a high gain directional 
antenna. Remember to consider the direction of the signal when positioning the X-WAV™ 
Antenna. The signal extends outward, away from the front of the antenna. Use diagram 2 
below for suggestions on positioning your X-WAV™ Outdoor Antenna Kit for maximum Wi-Fi 
coverage.

MOUNTING YOUR X-WAV™ OUTDOOR RANGE EXTENDER KIT

The X-WAV™ Outdoor Wi-Fi Range Extender Antenna Kit may be mounted to a pole using 
the included HDW-AM-UOD outdoor mounting bracket. See diagram 3 (Next page) for an 
example of the antenna mount set up. see the EnGenius EOC1650 Wireless Access Point 
(WAP) for mounting instructions.
