1. GENERAL
The VR310 uses high sensitive 1/3” interline transfer CCD (Charge Couple Device). Inside
their attractive modern body (PATENT AUTHORIZED) are full advanced functions.
Video Drive/Direct Drive (V.D./D.D.) switch, Back Light Compensation (BLC), Built-in high
sensitive microphone etc.......
All of these advanced features make VR310 series is suitable for both industrial and con-
sumer use.
2. FEATURES
2.1. VD/DD Switch
For Video drive auto iris lens, please set switch to V.D. For Direct Drive iris lens,
set switch to D.D.
2.2. Back Light Compensation – On/Off
Normal function is for the regular circumstance. BLC function is for the better
back light treatment for objects under bright-light area.
2.3. Built-In microphone
High sensitivity built-in audio function is applied as a standard function.
2.4. AES Switch - On/Off
To select manual lens or auto iris lens under different circumstance. Selection
of manual iris lens will save the cost of lens and even keep the similar functions
like auto iris lens.
2.5. Level adjustment
When switch to D.D, use level adjustment to take a clearer picture in bright and
dark areas.
3. PRECAUTIONS
3.1.
Do not expose the camera to humidity and dust. If the camera is mounted
outdoor, camera housing is required.
3.2.
Do not disassemble it or place it on an unstable base.
3.3.
Do not touch the surface of CCD sensor by hand directly. When the camera
is not in use, put the cover cap on the lens mount.
3.4.
Never face the camera toward the sun.
3.5.
Use Auto-iris lens or N.D. Filter or set large F number of manual lens when the
light intensity is very high, in order to protect the sensitive CCD sensor.
3.6.
Use proper AC power source otherwise the camera will not function cor-
rectly.
3.7.
Projection of the lens or other piece of optical equipment must be less than
6 mm from the lens mount face.
3.8.
In case the camera with any defect, please inform the qualified service per
-
son. Don’t try to disassemble the camera by yourself.

5. FUNCTION OF PARTS AND WIRING
5.1. Lens mount
Use CS mount lens or C mount lens with the attached 5 mm adaptor ring.
5.2. Video signal output connector (BNC connector)
Connect to CCTV monitor by using a coaxial cable.
5.3. V.D./D.D. switch
Switch to Video Drive (V.D.) for auto iris lens w/EE AMP. Switch to Direct
Drive (D.D.) for auto iris lens w/o EE AMP.
5.4. Auto iris connector
Connect the cable from auto iris lens to the pin no. 1 to 4 on camera ac-
cording to the following Instruction.

6. CONNECTIONS
6.1. Single Connection (one camera to one CCTV monitor)
6.2. Multiple Connection (plural cameras to one CCTV monitor)
7. OPERATION & ADJUSTMENT
7.1.
Install lens to the camera.
7.2.
Connect a cable between camera and CCTV monitor and then turn on the power
of each device.
7.3.
To obtain the best picture, adjust the focus and the diaphragm while observing the
image plane.
7.4.
Back focus adjustment If the subject is not in focus after adjusted the focus of lens,
it’s need to make the back focus adjustment. First, set the focus ring of lens to the
widest position and take picture of the subject at a distance of 20m away from
camera. Second, loosen the screw at the front panel by L-shape wrench. Then, turn
the lens and mount at the same time. So the subject will be in focus. Finally, secure
the screw firmly.
