Personnel qualification
• This device must not be used by children or
pregnant women. It may be used by persons of
reduced physical, sensory or mental capacity or
by persons lacking in experience or knowledge
provided that they are supervised or have been
instructed in the safe use of the device and
understand the associated hazards. Cleaning
or user maintenance must not be performed by
children.
• Ensure that personnel tasked with work on the
device has read and understood these instruc-
tions and all associated applicable documents,
particularly safety, maintenance and servicing
information, before they start work.
• Clarify responsibilities, competencies and moni-
toring of the personnel.
• Ensure that all work is carried out by technical
qualified personnel only:
- Assembly, servicing, maintenance work
• Personnel to be trained must only work on the
device under the supervision of technical person-
nel.
Statutory warranty
• During the guarantee period, obtain the
manufacturer's permission for modifications,
maintenance work or alterations.
• Use only original parts.
Duties of the personnel
• Observe the notices on the device and maintain
them in a legible state.
• Use protective equipment where necessary.
2.2 Proper use
The nozzle is a manually operated valve for regulat-
ing the flow quantity. The flow rate can be changed
by pressing sensitively the valve lever.
• The nozzles of type PP and PVDF are used to fill
and transfer neutral and aggressive liquids.
• The stainless steel type nozzle is used for filling
and transferring liquids in the food and phar
-
maceutical industries as well as flammable and
inflammable liquids.
• The brass type nozzle is used for filling and
transferring solvents and neutral liquids.
• The aluminium type nozzle for filling and trans
-
ferring heating oil and diesel.
• The nozzles of the types stainless steel and brass
are suitable for use in potentially explosive
atmospheres.
• The nozzles of the types stainless steel, brass and
aluminium have a rotary joint at the inlet. This
enables the nozzle to be turned in the desired
direction in case of stiff hose lines.
