2. Follow Mounting Notes and Wireless Range table below to mount the gateway. Keep in mind it may need to
be relocated to improve performance.
3. For LL-ETHGATE: Configure IT Network per IT guide (www.lutron.com/limelightITguide) and wire Ethernet
cable to the gateway.
4. Power the gateway and monitor the display for any connection issues. Refer to Troubleshooting section if
errors occur.
Mounting Notes
• Four (4) mounting brackets pre-attached
• Wall anchors (supplied by others)
• Mount vertical with space for field service access to side connectors
• Do not install in direct exposure to the sun or the elements (suggested installation location is in a
maintenance closet)
• Mount away from dense metal obstructions (maintain at least 2 ft [0.6 m])
• Mount in a location that minimizes the distance from the farthest controlled fixture

Troubleshooting
Shortly after power is applied, the gateway will initiate a self-check sequence. The full self-check sequence runs
~4 minutes and repeats twice. Errors encountered will appear on the screen.
Symptoms
Possible Solutions
LCD is OFF
– LCD light turns off after self-check is complete. This does not signify an issue on its own
– If the Power LED next to the power cord is also off, verify power is connected to the
gateway
LCD Error: Ethernet
Unavailable
– Verify that the wired Ethernet is connected properly
– Verify the IT Implementation Guide was followed for the Ethernet port that was wired to
the gateway: www.lutron.com/limelightITguide
LCD Error: XXX Port XXX
FAIL
– Verify the IT Implementation Guide was followed for the Ethernet port that was wired to
the gateway: www.lutron.com/limelightITguide
No Cell Signal
– Verify antennas were installed correctly per gateway labels and product images in this
document
– Verify there is no dense metal obstructions within 2 ft (0.6 m) of the antennas
– Relocate the Cellular Gateway (LL-CELLGATE) to an area with stronger 4G LTE Verizon
coverage

* If the gateway is not at or above ground level or there is more than one wall between the gateway and nodes, the 50 ft (15.2 m)
spacing guideline should be used.
