For night sky observing without H-alpha unit at LS130MT/1200 and LS130MT/B1800:
Loosen the 3 knurled screws between red H-alpha unit and Feather-Touch focuser. Now you can remove the
focuser from the telescope.
Loosen the 3 knurled screws between red H-alpha unit and telescope tube. Now you can remove the H-alpha
unit from the telescope.
Install the black extension tube at the telescope. Then install the Feather-Touch focuser at the black extension
tube.
Now you can use the LS130MT for night sky observing. You can use any normal star-diagonal, eyepieces and
cameras.
For night sky observing at LS130MT/B3400:
At the LS130MT/B3400 is the blocking-filter fix installed inside the Feather-Touch focuser. Therefore a new
focuser without blocking-filter is needed for using this telescope for night-sky observing. This is the reason why
you will need the conversion kit LS130TBP&F, item number 0551696.
A other option is to buy a new 2” Feather-Touch focuser and replace it for night sky observing.
