SIGNALITE TECHNOLOGY:
The Signalite is a highly efficient solar light with high capacity Lithium Ion batteries and a fast charging Polycrystalline solar panel.
This means that even on partially cloudy and rainy days, it will re-charge efficiently. The high battery capacity gives enough
power for multiple nights when there is little light during the day. The high lumen light output is bright enough to illuminate
entrances, signs and paths, for safe navigation at night.
INSTALLATION:
Location – It is important that the installation location is carefully considered, avoiding shady areas. The best position is south
facing, however the light can work facing in other directions, especially when in full sunshine. Ensure there are no other lights
which could interfere with the Sensors, imitating daylight.
REMOVE PLASTIC FILM FROM LED STRIP AND CHARGE FOR 1 FULL DAY BEFORE USE
1.
Hold the light in position and mark at the centre of the base of the light. Mark a
drill hole approximately 20mm above the bottom of the light for the keyhole
mount.
2.
Drill the hole with a 6mm drill bit at a depth of approx. 30mm and insert a wall
plug (alternative mounting screws / plugs may be required depending on the
surface).
3.
Screw the supplied screw into the wall plug leaving approx. 3-4mm protruding
to clear the keyhole.
4.
Slot the fitting onto the screw with the keyhole mount (screw can be adjusted
accordingly).
5.
For added security, use the 2 x additional screws (3 x for 20W fitting) to secure
the fitting in place (optional – continue below)
6.
Whilst the fitting is in place, use a spirit to level to ensure the fitting is level and
then mark the 2 additional screw holes at the top of the fitting.
7.
Remove the fitting and drill two more holes, as above, and insert wall plugs.
8.
Replace the fitting onto the keyhole mount and then screw the two additional
screws in place.
9.
Turn on the fitting via the button on the left side of the fitting and leave to charge for a full
day (cover solar panel to test)
TIP:
If installing the fitting later on in the day, leave the fitting turned off until the
following morning to ensure a full day’s charge prior to use.
FOR BEST RESULTS, ALWAYS INSTALL IN FULL SUNLIGHT
FUNCTION:
The Signalite automatically changes brightness mode with light detection and low battery detection technology. It will only
function during darkness / dusk. The on button only needs to be pressed once for the fitting to work continuously every night.
FIRST 5 HOURS:
100% brightness (unless low battery is detected which reduces the brightness to 25%, or completely off if
battery charge is exhausted).
AFTER 5 HOURS OR LOW BATTERY CAPACITY
– 25% brightness until light is detected (dawn), or if the battery
charge is exhausted, then LED off ready for new charge cycle.
STORAGE:
When storing this solar light, be sure to turn it to the off position by following the above steps (test by covering the solar panel).
Max 6 months storage when fully charged – recharge will be required periodically to prevent damage to battery over long
periods of time.
