Set up examples at the pyrometer:

Emi =100%:

Emi =

85%:

Note:

If the settings directly at the pyrometer should be used the pyrometer must be
switched into offline mode

Note:

If the emissivity is set to a value below 20% the instrument will automatically utilize
an emissivity value of 20%. The setting 00 is interpreted as

ε

 = 100%!

settings

The digital PC interface enables the exchange of data with a PC either by using the

InfraWin

 software (sup-

plied) or an user adapted communication software (see command table in sectio

14

,

 Data format UPP

).

There are also several additional detailed navigation/reading options. The descriptions to the settings for
emissivity

ε

, exposure time t

90

and analog output 0 or 4 ... 20 mA are the same as described already in section

8

,

 Instrument settings

. The operating switches must be switched to the online position before performing the

setting adjustments “emissivity”, “exposure time” and “analog output” with the software. The following additional
setting /reading options are available.

9.1

Clear time intervals t

cl

 (integrated maximum value storage

)

If the maximum value storage is switched on always the highest last temperature value
will be displayed and stored. The storage has to be cleared at regular intervals for ex-
changing by a new and actual value.
This feature is particularly useful when fluctuating object temperatures cause the display
or the analog outputs to change too rapidly, or the pyrometer is not constantly viewing an
object to be measured. In addition, it may also be beneficial to periodically delete and
reset the stored maximum values.

The following settings are possible:

OFF:

At clear time “OFF“ the max. value storage is switched off and only momentary values are
measured.
