PiP/PoP Remote Control Buttons
The PiP/PoP window has a label that displays its input name for a few seconds when the PiP/PoP is accessed with
the PiP remote buttons PiP “SEL”, PiP “SWAP”, and PiP “MODE”.
OFF
: Press to turn the PiP/PoP window off.
SEL
: When pressed,
SEL
turns PiP/PoP on. After pressing PiP “SEL”, an input for the PiP/PoP can be selected
by pressing a number key (with +10 preceding the number for input 10 and above). You can continue to
change the PiP/PoP input by pressing number keys. Main window input selection resumes once a non-numeric
button on the remote is pressed.
SWAP
: Swaps the main window and PiP/PoP window. When swapping, the screen may blank for several
seconds.
MODE
: When
PiP “MODE” is
pressed, if the PiP/PoP window is off it will be turned on. After pressing PiP
“MODE”, pressing number key selects one of the ten PiP/PoP modes. You can continue to change the PiP/PoP
mode by pressing number keys.
Main window input selection resumes once a non-numeric button on the
remote is pressed.

PiP/PoP Setup Menu
PiP/PoP has 10 mode setup memories. These are selected using the PiP “MODE” button on the remote. Each
PiP/PoP mode can have a unique position, size, and density (transparency). The command is:

For PoP, program the desired parameters as shown below:

Vertical alignment of main and PoP (top-top, center-center, bottom-bottom)

Select the vertical offset from the vertical alignment point
Size
Select the PoP window size

Specify if PoP remains enabled until turned off (“off”) or automatically turns
off
after a specified delay (in seconds)

Specify if the input label is displayed when PoP window is selected
PiP Input Mask
The PiP feature, when used with the
Input Mask
and the "PiP Timer" features, allows creation of a special PiP
window for use with the On-Screen-Display (OSD) of and Audio-Video-Receiver (AVR). For example, a
programmable remote could turn on the PiP for an input from the AVR when adjusting the AVR’s volume control
and show just the slice of the menu from the AVR with the volume display (using the
Input Mask
feature) could be
overlaid onto the screen and the PiP window could be programmed to automatically turn off after a programmed
time using the PiP Timer. See the

section for information on programming an input mask.
PiP/PoP Per-Input Mode Selection
Each input has an associated default PiP/PoP mode number. After a factory reset, all inputs are associated with
PiP/PoP mode 1. The command format is:

Inputs are listed on the left, and their user specified PiP/PoP default mode is listed on the right. Use the left and
right arrow keys to highlight either the input number or the mode number. Use the up and down arrows to select
the input or mode.
