Issue 4 May 1998
2. Remove the quick-disconnect connectors from the CA1
board.
3. Remove the CA1 board from its support standoffs, one at a
time, by pushing in on the spring-loaded tabs while pulling
out on each corner of the board.
4. When reversing the procedure for reinstallation, make sure
the board is fully seated on the support stand-offs in locked
position.
Thyristor (Q1)
1. Remove the CBA1 bracket as described in “DC Circuit
Breaker (CBA1) and Bracket.”
2. Remove nut and lockwasher from the stud of Q1 and pull
thyristor out.
3. Note their connection positions, and unsolder leads from
Q1.
Diode Heat Sink
Assembly
24-volt version of 25-ampere rectifier:
1. Remove nuts from studs holding front-facing heat sink.
2. Pull the heat sink out.
3. The diodes can now be tested or removed. The common
cable can be removed from the heat sink. See “Rectifier
Diode Test and/or Replacement.”
48-volt version of 25-ampere rectifier:
1. From the left side of mounting plate, remove the two
mounting screws that hold the heat sink standoffs to the
plate.
2. Pull the heat sink out with standoffs attached.
3. The diodes can now be tested or removed. The common
cable can be removed from the heat sink. See “Rectifier
Diode Test and/or Replacement.”
