the level of the power output is at 0%, but when the control level is over 6%, the power output is
turned to 100%. This curve is useful to turn on and off discharge lamps (HMI, MSR).
Park Curve
, (
5: PRK
). A channel with park curve is always at 100%. Its output is independent
of any control level. This curve is used, mainly, in backstage (dressing rooms, working lights...) it
guarantees that the channel is at 100% if the consol is turned off as most dimmers keep the last
DMX value sent to them.
33.2. DIMMERS TO CONTROL THE AUDITORIUM LIGHTS
By auditorium light, we defined the light not on stage. For example: the auditorium, the hall to the
auditorium, the corridor, etc… To control these lights, Piccolo does not limit the number of
dimmers (the only limit is the 512 dimmers of all Piccolo console). This function will not take
channels of the console (depending on model, 48, 96, 144 or 192 will be available).
This function is defined in the “Dimmer Patch” and allows the storage
in the “Security Patch” it can then only be altered with password. To
set a dimmer as dimmer for auditorium light, define it in the dimmer
patch as “
SM.D
”
When a dimmer is used as
SM.D
, the master
SM
will be displayed
as SM.DIMMERS. The master SM, will control all dimmers patched
to
SM.D
. When not included in the selection, they will not be used for
that purpose. This option can be changed at any time from menu 31:
PLAYBACKS/SM.
*Note: if the SM is changed to another function, the dimmers patched
to
SM.D
will not be in any scene on stage.
These dimmers are not used like conventional, normal channels, but the Limit function (Li) or the
Curves (Cu) can be applied.
33.3. TESTING DIMMERS
You can do a test of dimmers. Place the cursor in some dimmer (
Dmx
) or Limit (
Li
) cell, press
[
TEST]
(LED on) and use the wheel to control the scene level for the corresponding dimmer.
The test function is cancelled if you place the cursor in other cell type (
Cu
or
Ch
).
Remember that in some Li cell, when you press [
INSERT
] the output level for this dimmer is
captured as limit value. Now if you have the test active, will be captured the level test as limit level.
