INSTALLATION AND WIRING
SUBSM1 must be installed on the floor.
Being a subwoofer studio monitor, it performs well with SM1 Loudspeaker.
for an optimal performance, use one SUBSM1 each two SM1.
Place the sub in the middle of the two satellites trying to keep aligned the
emission source of all speakers.
Choose a safe mounting location, so as to prevent the cables can be
stepped on or create tripping hazards.
Before making connections between mixer and speakers, make sure the
mixer volume is turned down.
In the connection panel there are two Speakon NL4 connectors referred as
‘IN’ and ‘OUT’.
IN is the input connector and must be connected to the amplifier,
‘OUT’ is a
LINK OUT and can be connected to other systems
In the SUBSM1, left speaker is connected to pins 1+/1
– of the NL4
connector, while right speaker is connected to pins 2+/2
–, this allow to drive
the teo speaker with two different channel of amplifier; alternatively it is
possible to connect the two speaker in parallel and drive them with only one
channel of amplifier, using this solution total impedance is 4 Ohms.
