Increasing TCP/IP Performance
You can increase the TCP/IP performance of the ITI8241C-S adapter by
changing the TCP high water mark to 64 Kbytes. This can be done with
the ndd (1M) utility as follows.
As superuser, type at the command prompt:
# ndd –set /dev/tcp tcp_xmit_hiwat 65535
# ndd –set /dev/tcp tcp_recv_hiwat 65535
# ndd –set /dev/tcp tcp_cwnd_max 65534
The changes take effect immediately and affect all system networking
interfaces.
