When using versions with pump housing 70, use the
LOWARA RV ½“ check valve. This prevents water from
flowing through the pump backwards when the faucet is
opened, thus causing damage. When using valves other than
RV ½“, pay attention to appropriate closing pressure. Install
the RV ½“ check valve in the direction of flow, so that the
arrows on the pump housing and on the check valve point in
the same direction.
We recommend that you install a ball shut-off valve before the
pump so the pump can be replaced at a later time without
completely draining the system.
Pumps with housings #10 and #94 already contain an
integrated check valve and a ball shut-off valve in the pump
housings. (The check valve opens and closes automatically;
when the handle of the ball shut-off valve is perpendicular to
the pipe direction, the valve is closed).
