Electrical Connection

This unit is designed for permanent installation to the mains.
2).
The power supply should be
earthed and fused at 3amps.

For permanent installation into
the mains, it is necessary to
comply with the regulations of the
Local Electrical Authority.
5).
Consult a qualified electrician if in doubt about any aspect of electrical wiring.
6).
The Wires in the cable are colour coded as follows:
Brown
- Live
Green/Yellow
- Earth
Blue
- Neutral
7).
If you need to extend the cable on this unit, you should use a suitable length of
3 core cable and an Oasis waterproof (IP68) cable connector. (Ask your
retailer).
The mains electricity supply MUST BE DISCONNECTED before
Attempting Installation/maintenance or handling of any kind.
Warning: A residue Circuit
Device (RED) Must be fitted to
the mains supply.
WARNING: Never look directly at the U.V bulb when it is switched on.
The UV light generated by the bulb can cause damage to eyes and
skin. The Unit is supplied With a translucent hosetail which will glow
allowing you to see that the U.V is Working.

Maintenance
WARNING: unplug from the power source prior to any maintenance, in or
outside water.
DANGER: never look directly at an illuminated UV lamp. It might damage eyes
and skin.
- Check that the pump's pre-filter is not clogged with debris (leaves, silt, etc.)
- Check that the inlet tube is not clogged.
- Check that the UV-C lamp is working properly. Otherwise it must be replaced.

The UV-C lamp should be replaced once a year (5000 hours)
When replacing the UV tube or Quartz Sleeve, care should be taken as the parts
within are very fragile.
- Firstly, Switch of the power supply and remove the top cover. Unscrew the 2 x
retaining screws located either end of the UV Cover. Unclip the UV cover from the
lower casing. Remove the UV Mechanism from the lower base and gently pull the
Quartz Sleeve away from the End support.
- Gently pull the tube out of its enclosure in the end cap and replace with the correct
ATTENTION: - When re-assembling, ensure all fittings are water
tight Paying particular attention to the hose connectors which should be Hand
tight and Not over tightened.

replacement tube. Carefully inspect the quartz sleeve and clean or replace if necessary.
Reverse this procedure carefully, to reinstall the UV system.
- Wash sponges within a bucket of pond water. Replace them if worn.
- Aquarock only to be lightly cleaned if this becomes clogged with silt or debris.
- Rinse both Upper and Lower Casing removing any deposits/silt build up.
- At the end of the maintenance procedure, reassemble all components and check for
leaks..
Avoid at all times lifting the pump out of
your pond by the power cable. This will
damage the filter system and a new
electrical pack will need the be
purchased and installed.
