Before You Start:
• This guide is for users who wish to view their security
system remotely using computer or mobile apps. If you
plan to only view and configure the system locally, you
may skip this guide.
• Make sure you have a router and high-speed Internet
access (not included).
• Connect your recorder to your router using an Ethernet
cable (see the
Quick Setup Guide
for details).
• Ensure your recorder is up-to-date with the latest
firmware version.
• Please note that an upload speed of 3.5 Mbps is required
for remote video streaming. Up to 3 devices may connect
to the system at the same time.

Record your information below:
DEVICE ID:
The
Device ID
is printed on a label on the top panel of the
recorder.
Device ID:

STEP 1:
Find your Device ID
Once you have recorded your Device ID, you may proceed to
set up remote access with the mobile app (see
Step 2
)
and/or client software for PC and Mac (see
Step 3
).
Tap the
Lorex Cirrus
icon to open the app.

Ensure
Device ID
is selected.
Tap to scan the QR code on the top
of your recorder using the camera
on your mobile device.
Ensure the
Client Port
reads
9000
.
Enter the username (default:
admin
).
Enter the secure password you
recorded on the
Quick Setup Guide
.
Tap
Save
.
Live video from your security system will appear on the
app. Double-tap one of the channels to see video from a
single camera.
Congratulations!
You can now view video from your
cameras on your smartphone or tablet.

Main Menu
Devices:
Select channels for live
viewing from all connected devices.
Settings:
Configure settings for
selected channel.
Channel Name
Date and Time Stamp
Split-Screen Options
Snapshot:
Save a snapshot of
the current live view.
Intercom:
Tap to enable the camera’s
intercom; tap again to stop.
Manual Recording:
Tap to start
manual recording; tap again to stop.
Switch Stream:
Tap to switch to
full HD video quality; tap again
for reduced video quality that is
optimized for streaming.
Audio:
Tap to switch between
muted and unmuted.
