Fitting BSC adapters (Part available seperately):
For reasons of compatibility, it is possible to fit a BSC threaded crank shell in a frame de-
signed for fitting a ZED 2 bottom bracket shell. To do this, adapters are used and 6810 bear-
ings are fitted as shown in figure 12.
IMPORTANT:
• This operation requires specific tools; it must be performed by a specialised LOOK retailer.
• After removing the crank assembly and the bearings, check that the inner surfaces of the crank
assembly in the frame are free of dust or any other particles liable to damage the adapters.
• The M5x60mm screws must be tightened to the recommended torque: 5 Nm.
REMOVING THE BEARING FROM THE FRAME

After extracting the bearing remove the fitting
tool; clean and grease the crank shell’s inner
faces using the recommended grease.
Insert the tool via the right-hand side
into the left bearing then hit the tool
with the mallet to remove the bearing.

FITTING BSC ADAPTERS TO THE FRAME

Position the two adaptor inserts in the frame’s bearing
housing then screw the 3 M5x60 screws to the
recommended torque (5 Nm) to ensure the assembly
is tight.
