First Time Use
When switched on for the first time the appliance may emit a slight odour. This is
normal and will disperse within a few minutes.
• Wash the cooking pot and glass lid in hot soapy water. Rinse well in clear
water and dry carefully.
• Wipe the cooker body with a damp cloth containing a small amount of
diluted detergent. Remove all traces of detergent with a cloth damped with
clean water then dry thoroughly.
• Check that the voltage marked on the rating plate at the bottom of the
appliance is the same as the voltage in your area.

The cooking pot supplied with this rice cooker must not be used in a
conventional oven, on a cooking hob, in a microwave oven or on any form
of direct heat other than this rice cooker.
