1.
Place the knob on the dome aligning it with the hole and turn clockwise to secure it firmly on the
screw. Do not over tighten. The terracotta dome might break.
2.
Clean the baking plate before using the appliance for the first time (see ‘Cleaning and
maintenance’).
Then put the baking plate on the basis of appliance and recover with the dome.
3.
The appliance may emit some smoke and a characteristic smell when you switch it on for the first
time. This is normal, and will soon stop.
4.
Place the appliance on a flat, stable, heat-resistant and splash-proof surface where it cannot fall.
5.
Turn on the pizza oven 15 minutes before use.
6.
To turn on the pizza oven just plug in the power cord into a grounded outlet wall socket. The
control light on the side of the pizza oven will switch on and the appliance will heat up immediately
7.
Spray or wipe the spatulas and baking plate with a non-stick spray or oil for the first pizza.
8.
Place a slab of dough on the pizza spatula (or you can use the dough cutter).
Coat with tomato sauce, leaving an edge of about half a cm.
Pick your own ingredients and put them on the pizza. Insert the pizza into one of the dome
openings using the spatula so that the entire spatula rests on the baking sheet.
9.
Under normal conditions the pizza is ready in about 5 to 7 minutes, then you can slide the hot
pizzas onto a flat plate
Note:
•
Do not use the appliance to heat or cook meat. Hot fat may drip on the heating element and may
cause fire.
•
The baking time depends on: the type of dough, the pizza topping, the number of pizzas to be
baked at the same time.
•
Never operate the unit when the dome is not on the appliance, covering both heating elements.
•
Make sure that the appliance has sufficient ventilation during operation.
