SPECIAL MEASURES 

 

Warning :

 

- DO NOT remove the lid while the water is boiling. 
- Position the lid so that steam is directed away from the handle 
- If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. 
- Always ensure that the lid is tightly closed. 
-

 

Use only cold water when filling the appliance. 

- The water level must be between the MAX. and MIN. marks. 
- Insure that the appliance is switched off before removing it 
from its stand. 
- Avoid any spillage on the connector. 
- Heating element surface is subject to residual heat after use.

Before using the kettle for the first time, fill the kettle with cold water and boil it twice without any 
additives then discard the water. 
 

USING YOUR APPLIANCE 

 

1.

 

Fill the kettle with water. Do not overfill. Use the water level indicator. 

2.

 

Place the kettle on the base and plug in. 

3.

 

Switch the kettle to position ‘1’. The control lamp on the water indicator shows that the water is being 
boiled. 

4.

 

After boiling, the kettle switches off automatically. Disconnect the kettle from the supply socket. Do 
not open the lid when pouring. If the kettle is overfilled, boiling water may be ejected. 

5.

 

After the kettle has switched off automatically, there may be a short delay before it can be 
re-boiled. This is usually no more than 20 seconds

 

6.

 

The safety cut-out will operate if you accidently switch on the kettle when it is empty or 
allow it to boil dry, wait 15 minutes after cut-out before reuse the kettle.
