The appliance is ready to be used.

USE

1.

Unroll the power cord completely.

2.

Connect the appliance in a correct socket-outlet.

3.

Fill the kettle with fresh water (Do not overfill ! Use the water MAX level indicator).

4.

Place the kettle on the base.

5.

Switch  the  on/off  to  the  down  position.  The  control  lamp  on  the  kettle  shows  that  the  water  is
heating.

6.

When temperature is reached the kettle switches off automatically.

7.

Take the kettle and pour gently the water in a sink. Take care to avoid any burn.

8.

You can stop the boiling process at any time by pressing the switch to the OFF position.

9.

After the kettle has switched off automatically, there may be a short delay before it can be re-boiled.
This is usually no more than 20 seconds.

10.

The safety cut-out will operate if you accidently switch on the kettle when it is empty or allow it to
boil dry Wait 15 minutes for the cut-out to reset before refilling with cold water and boiling.

CLEANING AND STORAGE

1.

Make sure the appliance is unplugged from the supply socket and fully cooled down before
cleaning.

2.

To clean the exterior surfaces, slightly wipe over with a soft damp cloth and dry thoroughly.

3.

To clean the inner walls of the kettle, use a soft damp cloth or a soft brush to remove the
residues.
Note: Never use abrasive product

4.

Never immerse the jug kettle or its base in water.

5.

Dish washer forbidden.

6.

The appliance has to be descaled regularly to ensure optimum performance. The frequency
depends on the water hardness and the boiling frequency.

If you begin to notice the increase of the noise during boiling, or if the kettle switches off
before water being boiled, this indicates that descaling is necessary.

Generally, the descaling should be done in the following periodicity:

With soft water, at least once every 6 months.
With hard water, at least once every 3 months.

You can use descaling agent (In this case read carefully the instructions supplied with the
product) or vinegar (0,5 liters of white vinegar 8% to a kettle).

After the descaling, rinse the inner of the kettle thoroughly with clean water.
