Video Return
Overview
The Video Return feature provides a unidirectional video channel from the Video Return
Server (typically situated in the MCR) to LU600 unit operators in the field and is designed
to send any video feed required back to the field. This is useful in a number of different live
transmission scenarios, for example:
Verification that the studio is receiving your live feed correctly, allowing for
camera angle adjustment etc.
Watching the live show while cueing up for a live interview
Using the channel as a teleprompter to be displayed locally
This feature requires a Video Return Server to be installed and configured, and for that
server to be connected to one or more sources of video intended to be streamed back to
your LU600. For more information on installation of this feature, please contact LiveU
support.
For more information on hardware installation and connectivity of the Video Return server,
please see the LiveU Server User’s Guide.
