11. Light Kit Assembly (optional).

WARNING: 

Failure to disconnect power 

supply at main panel prior to light kit assembly 
may result in serious injury.

If you wish to use your fan with a light kit:

 

Remove three screws from switch housing.
Remove switch housing plate from switch 
housing.   

Locate 

BLUE

 and 

WHITE

 wires in the switch 

housing labeled FOR LIGHT. Remove and discard 
cardboard label and plastics that hold these two 
wires together. 

If your light kit is to be mounted directly to switch 
housing, remove three screws from light kit.  Make 
wire connections as described below.

If your light kit is to be attached by a threaded 
rod, remove the hex nut and washer from light kit.  
Punch center cap out of switch housing plate with 
a screwdriver. Push wires from light kit through 
center hole and screw switch housing plate onto 
threaded rod followed by the previously removed 
washer and hex nut. Tighten hex nut over washer 
for a secure fit. Make wire connections as 
described below.

Connect the 

WHITE

 wire from the light kit to the 

WHITE

 wire from the switch housing. Connect the 

BLACK

 wire from the light kit to the 

BLUE

 wire 

from the switch housing. Use wire nuts when 
making the connections.  Attach light kit to fan by 
securely tightening the three screws that were 
previously removed.

Attach glass shades to light kit using the provided 
hardware. If you are installing a bowl fixture, the 
bulbs must be installed first.
Lamp with the light kit's specified bulbs. If you are 
installing a halogen bulb, be sure not to handle 
glass directly with your fingers as oil from the skin 
shortens the life of the bulb.
