Operating Instructions
Description
The ACC-1004 and ACC-1004-TXLR3 are amplified extension
speakers that are designed to provide more than 10 watts of audio
output when connected to the INCX-4001 or INCX-4101 intercom
stations. These amplified speakers are useful for increasing audio
output level in noisy locations.
Both speakers use an integrated circuit amplifier to provide the
necessary gain to raise the output audio level and a DC voltage
power source of 10 to 16 volts at 1.5 amps is required to provide
proper power for the units. In the case of the ACC-1004 stripped and
tinned DC power leads are provided with an in-line fuse holder
containing a two amp fuse for short circuit or overload protection. In
the case of the ACC-1004-TXLR3 a power connector and an in-line
fuse holder for use with the INCX-4101 are also provided. Both units
are protected from accidental reverse polarity of the power leads.
INSTALLATION:
1. Locate the amplified speaker indoors or in an area free from
direct exposure to weather.
2. Plug the audio connector into the matching connector inside the
INCX-4001 (Note that this connector is labeled “AMPLIFIER”) or
on the appropriate connector outside the INCX-4101 housing.

3. Connect the power leads from the ACC-1004 to a 10 to 16 volts
DC power supply capable of providing at least 2 amperes. This
same power supply may be used to power the INCX-4001
Intercom Station if desired. The diagram below shows how to
power the AC-1004 and INCX-4001 from the same supply.
When using the INCX-4101 simply connect the power connector
from a matching PS-1230US-TXLR3 into the appropriate
connector on the outside of the INCX-4101.
Note that a Liteway PS-1205 will not provide enough power for
this application. A PS-1230US 3 Amp supply is required to
power the INCX-4001 intercom stations and speaker while a PS-
1230US-TXLR3 is required to power the INCX-4101 and ACC-
1004-TXLR intercom station for proper operation..
IN EITHER CASE DO NOT APPLY MORE THAN 16 VOLTS DC OR
DAMAGE TO THE UNIT MAY OCCUR.!
4. Audio will now come through the external speaker instead of the
intercom station’s built in speaker. The audio output volume is
controlled by the front panel volume control of the INCX-4001 or
INCX-4101 intercom station.

the INCX-4001 or INCX-4101 as required.
