Safety notes on the operating phases
1.4.1.
Transport, assembly and installation
Transport, assembly and installation at/with the masonry saw must only take place in the transport
position.
Transport under consideration of the maximum operating weight should take place only via a crane or
by 2 persons.
1.4.2.
Commissioning
Commissioning must only take place in the transport position.
When inserting the saw blade, observe the running direction.
Ensure that the floor meets the carrying capacity requirements. All obstacles must be removed from
the working area and good lighting must be ensured.
Visual inspection of the entire masonry saw for damage and defects. Special inspection of the safety
facilities.
Only use suitable and tested tools. No rotating tools, that have a maximum rotating speed below the
machine's rated speed, must be used. Defective or torn tools must be replaced without delay.
1.4.3.
Operation
Do not perform any work that may compromise safety!
Take measures to ensure that the masonry saw is only operated in a safe and functional condition!
At least once per shift, inspect the machine for recognisable damage and defects! Report any changes
that occur (including to operating behaviour) to the relevant office/person! Shut down machine at
once if applicable and secure it against reactivation!
If there is any functional impairment, shut down and secure at once! Have interferences removed at
once! Electrical work must only be performed by trained electricians.
Any contact with rotating tools must be avoided.
Cutting without blade guard is forbidden. The operator must be protected from rotating parts.
Without a fault interrupter (FI) in the supply line or the distribution box, it is forbidden to connect the
machine to the circuit.
