our boxcar is illuminated by two red LEDs, Lionel part number 630-6823-300. During the
course of normal operations, this LED may require replacement.
Allow your boxcar to set for at least one hour with the smoke unit off before
removing the body. This will allow the smoke unit time to cool off and prevent any
injuries.
1. Remove the screw that holds the frame to the body, which is located on one end above the
coupler. Lift the body off the frame.
2. As shown in Figure 3, pull the LED straight out, removing it from the socket.
3. Replace with Lionel part no. 630-6823-300. These LED’s are polarity sensitive and should
only be assembled with the bulbs facing the figure. These LED’s will not work if assembled
incorrectly

To reassemble the boxcar, simply reverse the disassembly procedure.

With extended use, the bottom of the boxcar car will get warm. Caution is
advised when picking up the boxcar and/or turning the switch on or off.
