CAB-1 numeric keypad table

keys on your CAB-1 can perform several different functions when
controlling your locomotive. These functions include:
• Starting up and shutting down the engine sounds.
• Controlling the engine RPM sounds manually ("Manual RPM Mode").
If you press

immediately before you press the

button, its function will be
modified. The following table summarizes the functions of these CAB-1 Remote Controller
buttons for your locomotive.

LEGACY RailSounds sound system

If the LEGACY RailSounds sound system is shut down, engine sounds start up.
If the LEGACY RailSounds sound system is running, engine enters manual RPM
mode and revs up RPM one level with each press.

If locomotive is stopped, engineer announces "shut down," engine sounds turn
off. If the locomotive is moving, the dispatcher instructs, “Go to restricted speed.”

If the locomotive is moving, the dispatcher instructs, “Emergency stop!”

If the locomotive is moving, engine enters manual RPM mode and revs
down RPM one level with each press.
