Toasting bread

•

Make sure the crumb tray is properly in place before using the 2 SliceToaster. It

is located underneath the heating elements and can be accessed from the side

of the 2 Slice Toaster opposite the controls.

•

Place the 2 Slice Toaster on an even and heat-resistant surface, connect it to a

properly installed wall socket and switch on power to the outlet.

•

Place two slices of bread into the bread slots.

•

Set the browning level with the browning control knob. The higher the number,

the longer the toasting time and the darker the toast.

•

Push down the toasting lever completely to switch on the 2 SliceToaster. The

lever will only stay down when the 2 Slice Toaster is connected to the power

outlet and the power is switched on.

•

The CANCEL button indicator will illuminate; press it at any time to stop

toasting.

•

NOTE:

This 2 Slice Toaster automatically adjusts the slot width when the

toasting lever is pushed down to accommodate slices of different thickness.

•

When the toast is ready, the toasting lever moves up and the 2 Slice Toaster

switches off automatically. You can now remove the bread from the 2 Slice

Toaster.

•

CAUTION:

Do not touch the metal parts of the 2 Slice Toaster as they become

hot during toasting.

•

If toasting more bread, allow the 2 Slice Toaster 15 to 20 seconds to cool

down before beginning the next toasting cycle so the electronically controlled

thermostat can reset.

•

After several toasting cycles, pull out the crumb tray and clean it. See the

cleaning instructions on page 11.
