The Router - WAN Setup:
Allows you to configure the Internet connection. Information about your Internet connection type should be
provided by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). If you do not have this information, contact your service
provider.
Note:
For more information related to the information/settings found in the Linksys webpage, please refer to the Linksys
user guide.
If you are unable to connect to the PPP0E server, you may wish to perform the following steps:
1.
Check the PPPOE settings: username and password.
2.
Check the cabling between Internet port and DSL modem
3.
Check the link lights between the router and the modem
4.
Try new cabling between the Internet port and DSL modem
If the above fails, please contact Customer Care at 1633 for assistance.
Internet Connection Settings
Connection Type
.
Select the connection type you use:
DHCP; Static IP; PPPOE; PPPOE, DHCP;
or
DHCP, PPPOE.
If you select PPPOE, DHCP or DHCP, PPPOE, then the Phone Adapter will try the first
Internet connection type. If that fails, then the Phone Adapter will try the second Internet
connection type.
Static IP Settings
If you selected Static IP, complete the Static IP Settings section.
Static IP
. Enter the static or fixed IP address of the Phone Adapter (this should be provided
by your ISP).
NetMask
. Enter the net or subnet mask of the Phone Adapter (this should be
provided by your ISP).
Gateway
. Enter the IP address of the gateway (this should be provided by your ISP).
PPPOE Settings
If you selected PPPOE, complete the PPPOE Settings section.
PPPOE Login Name
. Enter the name provided by your ISP.
PPPOE Login Password
. Enter the password provided by your ISP.
PPPOE Service Name
(optional). Enter the service name provided by your ISP.
Optional Settings
HostName
. Enter the host name, if provided by your ISP.
Domain
. Enter the domain name, if provided by your ISP.
Undo All Changes
Button to undo your changes.
