To install more than one Ethernet device, use a multiport Ethernet switch or a router
(not provided).

Locate the AC power adapter provided with your modem. Connect the barrel connector end of
the power adapter into the power port on the back of the modem. Then, plug the AC power
adapter into an AC outlet to provide power to the modem.

If your modem is equipped with a power switch (located on the back panel), make sure
that the switch is in the ON position to provide power to the modem.

The modem may reboot several times during this process and activation may take up to five
minutes. The modem will be ready for use when the LEDs on the front panel of the modem
stop blinking and remain on.

Plug in and turn on your computer and other home network devices at this time. The Ethernet
LED on the modem should be on or blinking.

The last step is to open a web browser and verify Internet access. Some service providers
have additional setup steps that will automatically appear in the browser. Follow the steps if
necessary or call your Internet Service provider if you are unable to get online.
