NOTE: Do not add lubricant to the
bottom of the fill plug threads. The correct gearcase lubricant to
use is SAE 80W/90 GL5 Weight Gear Lube.
Oil Changing Procedure
1. Remove drain plug (3). Catch and
discard used oil properly.
2. Clean and reinstall the drain plug
with a new sealing washer and tighten securely (14 ft.
lbs/20N.m).
3. Remove fill plug and add 10 ounces (300ml) of SAE 80W/90
GL5. Weight Gear Lubricant and inspect oil level. Oil level
should be kept even with the center of the drill point
(approximately 1 5/8
‖41mm below the top of the fill hole).
4. Reinstall the fill plug. Tight securely (14 ft. lbs/20N.m).
5. Check for leaks.
