System Utilities

Several utility commands are available for the system. Utilities can be used to clear 
memory, display system information, and control the relays.

Display Unit Number

In multi-unit installations the unit number of each AE-500 can be displayed.

1.  If not already in Programming Mode, use the local keypad to enter the 

master password and access programming.

2. Press

 

 

 

3.  The display will show the unit number for three seconds.
4.  Exit Programming Mode if all programming is complete.

Display System Firmware Version

The version of the fi rmware installed in the system can be displayed.

1.  If not already in Programming Mode, use the local keypad to enter the 

master password and access programming.

2. Press

 

 

 

3.  The display will show the fi rmware version.
4.  Exit Programming Mode if all programming is complete.

Manual Control of the Relays

For servicing or testing, each relay output can be controlled manually from the 
local keypad while in Programming Mode.

1.  If not already in Programming Mode, use the local keypad to enter the 

master password and access programming.

2.  Enter a command to control a relay:

to latch Relay Channel “A”.

• Press

 

 

 

 

to latch Relay Channel “B”.

• Press

 

 

 

 

to release Relay Channel “A”.

• Press

 

 

 

 

to release Relay Channel “B”.

3.  The display will show the unit number for three seconds.
4.  Exit Programming Mode if all programming is complete.

Deleting Database Entries

Sections of the database can be deleted individually. 

Exercise care when using 

these commands, their effect cannot be reversed.

1.  If not already in Programming Mode, connect by telephone or use the 

local keypad. Enter the master password and access programming.

2.  Enter a command to delete database sections:
