Introduzione
Grazie per aver scelto lo Splitter LINDY DisplayPort 2 porte con funzione Expander-view. Questo
dispositivo è un Hub DisplayPort MST (Multi Stream Transport) che consente ad una singola sorgente
DisplayPort di utilizzare due schermi per visualizzare per esempio un desktop esteso su entrambi i
monitor. E’ l’hub stesso che si occupa di dividere i due flussi video ed inviarli a ciascuno schermo in
modo indipendente. Questo sistema riconosce automaticamente quanti schermi sono connessi e
trasferisce l’informazione alla scheda grafica che presenterà nella schermata di configurazione fino a 2
schermi configurabili separtamente.
IMPORTANTE: Lo Splitter DP Expander / Hub MST funziona solo con schede grafiche DP 1.2; le
schede DP 1.1 NON sono supportate! Questo prodotto funziona in modo completamente diverso da
uno splitter VGA o HDMI!

Risoluzione massina in uscita con 2 schermi (in base agli schermi utilizzati):

La funzione MST divide il segnale MST originale in due singoli segnali video indipendenti
E’ possibile utilizzare monitor con differenti risoluzioni tenendo presenti le limitazione citate
sopra
Larghezza di banda massima in modalità HBR2/HBR/RBR fino a 21,6 Gbps (4 canali a massimo
5.4Gbps per canale)
Supporta la connessione di cavi lunghi fino a 10m in ingressoe in uscita utilizzando cavi
LINDY di alta qualità SLD o GOLD in base alla risoluzione richiesta
Vi preghiamo di notare che questo Splitter Expander / Hub MST non può inviare in uscita
due segnali 3840x2160@60Hz perché la risoluzione totale dei due monitor non può
superare 3840x2160@60Hz
Installazione ed utilizzo
Questo dispositivo è totalmente plug and play e non necessita di driver o di essere configurato
con un software. La risoluzione degli schermi è gestita tramite il pannello di configurazione della
scheda grafica del computer.
1. Collegate con cavi DP il PC alla porta DP “in” dello splitter e i monitor alle porte DP “Out”
2. Collegate l’alimentatore allo splitter.
3. Il pannello di configurazione della vostra scheda grafica mostrerà ora due monitor
separati. Regolate le singole risoluzioni direttamente dal PC e utilizzate la funzione
“Duplica Schermo” per visualizzare la medesima immagine su entrambi gli schermi
oppure “Estendi Schermi” per visualizzare un desktop unico diviso fra i due monitor.
Se non riuscite a visualizzare nulla controllate che la vostra scheda grafica sia conforme alle
specifiche DP 1.2 Provate a connettore un singolo monitor e impostate la risoluzione richiesta
per verificarne il funzionamento. Vi ricordiamo di rispettare i limiti di risoluzione citati sopra.

Introduction
Thank you for purchasing the LINDY 2 Port DisplayPort Splitter with expander function. This device is a
high performance DisplayPort MST hub (Multi Stream Transport) which allows one DisplayPort source
to be shown simultaneously on 2 displays or similar as an extended desktop across 2 displays. The
MST hub splits the MST input signal into two single streams to the individual monitors. It detects how
many displays are connected and allows to send 2 monitor signals over one DP cable to the Splitter.
The computer’s graphic card settings panel will show 2 monitors.
IMPORTANT: The DP Expander splitter / MST hub can only work with DP 1.2 graphic cards, DP 1.1
input signals are not supported! This product is significantly different compared to VGA or HDMI
splitters!

Supports DisplayPort 1.2 input signals up to 3840x2160@60Hz
Maximum output resolution (depending on the monitors) with 2 displays:
3840x2160@30Hz or 2560x1600@60Hz
The MST function splits the combined MST input signal up into two single monitor streams
Monitors with different resolutions can be used as long as within the above limits
HBR2/HBR/RBR link rate, up to 5.4 Gbps per lane (4 lanes at 21.6Gbps) bandwidth
Supports cable lengths of up to 10m in and out with high quality LINDY SLD or GOLD cables,
depending on the resolution
Please note that the Expander splitter / MST hub cannot output 2x 3840x2160@60Hz, because the
total resolution of the two monitors cannot exceed 3840x2160@60Hz.
Installation and Operation
The LINDY DisplayPort Expander Splitter / MST Hub is a plug and play device that does not need to be
configured with software or driver support. Resolutions are configured on the computers graphic card
setting panel.
1. Connect the splitter and the two monitors to your graphics card using DP cables.
2. Connect the power adapter to the DP Expander Splitter and switch on all devices.
3. The graphic card settings panel on your PC will show two new separate monitors. Adjust the resolution
on your PCs graphics card tool. Use “Duplicate Desktop” setting to show identical screen content on
both monitors (splitter function) or use “Extended Desktop” to show different content.
If you cannot see any picture please make sure that your graphic card supports DP 1.2 and MST function.
Try to connect one monitor only and try to set up the required resolutions. Please regard the maximum
resolutions as listed above.
