CONTROL HANDLE DISASSEMBLY
Use a clean bench to carry out maintenance.
A) Remove the oil hose from the control gun inlet swivel (2).
B) Remove the 2 handle end plate screws (16) and handle end
plate (15)
C) Remove the swivel retaining ring (3), followed by the
swivel assembly (4)
D) With the use of a pair of circlip pliers, remove the circlip
(5), remove the back swivel bushing (6) and quad ring (7)
E) Using the same circlip pliers remove the spring retainer
clip (8), valve spring (9), valve body assembly (10) and
valve stem (11).
F) Remove the lever screw and washer (19,18)
G) Remove the lever (17), by carefully unclipping it from the
cam shaft (13)
H) Push out the cam body (13) by pressing the small
diameter on the cam body
I) Inspect for any signs of wear or damage and replace as
required.
CONTROL HANDLE REASSEMBLY
A) Lightly lubricate the cam shaft ‘O’ rings (14) with oil then
carefully assemble the cam body assembly(13) into the body
casting (12).
B) Insert the valve stem (11), valve body assembly (10) and
spring (9) into the body casting (12).
Note: Refer to Fig for correct orientation of cam shaft
(13) and valve stem (11).
C) Assemble the spring retainer circlip (8)
D) Carefully assemble the lever (17) to the cam shaft (13)
Note: Press the lever to ensure the correct operation of
F) Assemble the quad ring (7) and the back swivel bushing (6)
so the solid face of the bushing faces the quad ring.
G) Assemble the swivel assembly (4) to the body casting (12).
H) Assemble the swivel retaining ring (3), handle end plate (15)
and screws (16).
E) Assemble lever washer and screw (18,19)
I) Check the correct operation of the control handle.
1) To latch, press and latch the lever.
2) To release press the lever

CAUTION
Before carrying out any maintenance disconnect the air supply
to the pump and release the fluid pressure in the system by
pressing the lever on the control gun.
NOTE: The control handle body/meter body assembly
cannot be separated.
Note: Ensure the swivel retaining ring is correctly fitted into
the groove.
