3)  There are cable entry holes on this fitting which can be used as required.  

4)  The back of the fitting can be used as a template to mark the position of fixing holes 

on your mounting surface.  

5)  Fix luminaire to the wall/ceiling using suitable screws and fixings (not supplied) and 

thread supply cables with glanding/cable protection where necessary.  

6)  Having completed termination connections and plugged in battery pack on pcb, fitting 

can be re assembled.  

7)  Restore the supply and check that the Green LED indicator illuminates to confirm the 

batteries are charging.   

8)  Allow  a  short  period  for  part  charging  of  the  batteries  and  then  isolate  the  mains 

supply to the fitting in order to check the correct operation of the fitting in emergency 
mode. It is recommended to initially charge batteries for 36 hours from new to ensure 
full emergency duration is achieved.    

Once the luminaire  no  longer  meets its  rated  emergency operation  the batteries  must 
be replaced. 
  

Maintenance   

Repairs  should  only  be  carried  out  by  suitably  qualified  person.  Only  replacement 
components  authorised  by  the  company  should  be  used.  Disposal  of  replaced  components 
should be in accordance with component manufactures instructions.  

Servicing, cleaning, lamp replacement etc should only be carried out after the fitting has been 
made electrically safe.  

Cleaning  of  luminaires  should  be  carried  out  at  regular  intervals  not  only  to  ensure  good 
optical  performance  but  also  ensure  that  dirt  does  not  accumulate  to  such  an  extent  as  to 
impair the electrical or thermal safety of the fitting
