OPERATION AND SCREEDING
Prior to operating the SPIDERSCREED™ (even if you are only moving it a short distance), the
hydraulic fluid temperature should increase 80 F (27 C). After starting the machine, ensure that the
fluid temperature reaches this value.
Follow these steps to move the SPIDERSCREED™:
1. Verify machine emergency stop switch isn’t activated
1. Turn main power switch to ON
2. Start engine and raise throttle to 2,800-3,000 RPM
3. On MD4, verify machine is in
DRIVE
mode. If not, press MODE button on MD4 to toggle into
DRIVE
mode.
4. On MD4, verify machine drive speed percentage. Raise machine drive speed as needed by
pressing and holding DRIVE speed increase button on operator keypad.
5. Be sure area around machine is free from obstacles
6. Press the drive switches with your thumbs to activate the driving sequence. Machine can
be steered by moving the operator handle horizontally or by toggling the drive switches
independently as required.
NOTE: Machine will only drive in
SCREED
mode IF the machine has the laser receivers attached
and the receivers are detecting a laser strike OR IF the machine is placed into a manual mode by
activating the manual operation buttons on the Main screen

DRIVE WARNINGS
Be sure the area is clear of all obstructions prior to operating and that bystanders
remain a safe distance from machine when operating.
Never sit or stand on the machine, whether moving or stationary.
