Safety Precautions
The design of the LIFTON powerpack guarantees maximum operator safety, and the
noise level has been kept as low as possible.
The following safety precautions must be taken:
1. Do not use the powerpack longer than prescribed in your local environmental work-
ing regulations. The noise load from extensive daily use may result in hearing de-
fects.
2. Always use protective earplugs, goggles, gloves, shoes and hard hat.
3. Always disconnect the hydraulic circuit before dismounting hoses or servicing the
powerpack.
3. Fine jets of hydraulic oil at high pressure can penetrate the skin. Do not use your fin-
gers to check for hydraulic oil leaks. Do not put your face close to suspected leaks.
Hold a piece of cardboard close to suspected leaks and then inspect the cardboard
for signs of hydraulic oil. If hydraulic oil penetrates your skin, get medical help
quickly.
4. Never leave the powerpack turned on.
5. Avoid lifting the powerpack more than allowed according to your local environmental
working regulations.
6. Operation without tool may lead to damage of hydraulic parts due to development of
heat.
7. In case of oil spill, cleaning must be done according to local regulations.
8. If the powerpack is connected with new hoses, or if a new tool is being used for the
first time, the hydraulic oil level will drop and requires topping up.
9. Never add oil while motor is running.
