Troubleshooting Guide

Check the transmitter.

Is the power indicator light, on top of the
transmitter GREEN? If there is no green light on
top of the transmitter, then the battery needs to be
recharged or replaced. If the light is RED, turn
the transmitter switch from STANDBY to ON.
Average battery life is six hours.

Check the amplifier/speaker.

Is the light on the ON/OFF switch on the
amplifier/ speaker lighted? If this is not on then
check the following:

1) Is the switch in the upwards or ON position?

2) Is the battery plugged into the battery jack in
the back of the amplifier/speaker?

3) Has the battery been recharged more than 250
times or is it more than two years old? Typical
life of a battery is 250-500 recharges. There is a
number on the battery. The first number is the
month and the second number is the year the
battery was purchased. This will help determine
the life of the battery.

Check the charger.

When charging the amplifier/speaker and the
transmitter, is the charging light lighted? If no
READY or CHARGING light is lighted check to
make sure both plugs are properly inserted into
the transmitter and amplifier/speaker AND make
sure the charger is plugged into electricity. The
power supply must be properly plugged in to charge.

Adjust the collar mic, headset mic or lapel mic...

...so that the collar or headset mic is no more than
3 inches from your lips OR the lapel mic is no
more than 6 inches from your lips. If more volume
is needed, increase the volume on the amplifier/
speaker or increase the volume with the gain
control on the transmitter.

Adjust or change the location...

...of the amplifier/speaker. Feedback is caused
with the human voice goes through a microphone,
through an amplifier/speaker, and back through
the microphone causing a loop.

Attempt to lower the gain control...

...on the transmitter and increase the gain on the
amplifier/speaker.
