Fault
Solution
The water tank appears cloudy or
tank water has changed color.
Check to see that your unit has not been positioned in direct
sunlight as this can impact the water quality.
Your tank requires a water treatment every 12-24 months.
To treat the water, refer to the section in this manual called “Water Treatment”.
Change unit location to reduce direct exposure to sunlight.
Add water treatment or change tank water as directed in the water treatment
section of this manual. Consider using distilled water
to refill tank.
I want to drain the fluid tank on my
UpperCycle GX.
It is recommended to take your unit outdoors, open the fill plug, and lay unit on
its side to facilitate draining process. If draining indoors, a container capable of
holding 8 litres of water will be required.
When I am training the pedals are
slipping.
It is likely your PK tank belt requires tightening.
To do this, remove the large inspection plate on opposite side of tank and
check belt tension. For details on belt tightening, please refer to our website at
www.lifefitness.com
One of the handles is loose and
cannot be retightened.
It is possible that the arm threads have become stripped.
Contact your local dealer for replacement. Then check weekly
as recommended.
The computer screen is erratic and
illuminates, but does not register
with movement.
It is possible that there is a loose connection. Check that the
computer lead is connected properly to the unit. If connected
properly check sensor gap. Contact your local dealer if this fails to
address the problem.
The computer does not illuminate
after battery installation.
Reinstall batteries in correct position and try again. If the LCD
screen fails to illuminate, try rotating the batteries slightly in the
computer. If this fails, contact your local dealer.
The computer display is erratic or
slow while displaying RPM.
The gap between the sensor and the magnetic ring is too wide.
Remove inspection plate to check sensor gap and confirm that the magnetic
ring is not wobbly or loose. The sensor bracket can be bent slightly to bring the
reed switch closer to the magnetic ring.
