System Requirements
You need the following to use your programming
module:
• IBM® compatible PC with Pentium processor or
higher.
• At least 32 MB RAM memory.
• Windows® 98 or higher
• A minimum of 30 MB free hard drive space
• CD drive
• VGA graphics card and mouse
• A free serial interface (RS-232)
• A transformer / switched mode power pack
• You need a separate length of track with no power
supplied to it in order to program your LGB loco-
motives with built-in LGB decoders. This length of
track should be as long as your longest locomotive.
Further on in the text this length of track will be
called the programming track.
Safety Notes
• The Interface is not weatherproof and must be set
up in a dry, protected area (i.e. indoors).
• Maximum of 18 volts AC/DC
Setup
1. Connect the programming module to a free serial
interface connection on your computer. Use the
cable included with the programming module to
make this connection.
2. Plug the connection cable with the 4 free wire ends
into the programming module.
3. Connect the white and the brown wire to the
programming track.
4. Connect the yellow and the green wire to the
transformer / switched mode power pack.
Installation
• To install the program on your computer start the
file „setup“ (setup.exe) in the folder „MASSOTH
CV-Programmer 1.5 (Setup)“. Follow the instruc-
tions in the program.
• As an option you can also start the program from
the CD without doing the installation. To do this
start the file „Massoth CV-Programmer V15 [EN]“
(Massoth CV-Programmer V15 [EN].exe) in the
folder „MASSOTH CV-Programmer 1.5“.
