The air conditioner uses a drain pump to dr ain water .
Use the follo wing procedure to test the drain pump oper ation:
• Connect the main dr ain pipe to the exter ior
an d le av e it pro vis io na lly un til th e t es t
comes to an end.
• F ee d wa te r to th e fl exi ble dra in ho se an d
check the piping f or leakage.
• Be sure to chec k the drain pump for normal
operating and noise when electr ical wir ing
is complete.
• W he n th e te st is co mp le te , c on ne ct th e
flexib le dr ain hose to the drain port on the
indoor unit.

• Drain piping m ust ha ve down-slope (1/50 to 1/100): be sure not to
provide up-and-do wn slope to prevent re versal flo w.
• Dur ing dr ain piping connection, be careful not to ex ert extr a force
on the drain por t on the indoor unit.
• The outside diameter of the drain connection on the indoor unit is
32mm.
• Be sure to install heat insulation on the dr ain piping.

CA UTION:
After the confirmation of the abo ve conditions , prepare the wiring as f ollows:
1) Ne ver fail to have an individual po wer specialized f or the air conditioner. As f or the method of
wiring, be guided b y the circuit dia gram posted on the inside of control bo x cover .
2) Pro vide a circuit breaker s witch between po wer source and the unit.
3) The scre ws which fasten the wiring in the casing of electrical fittings are liab le to come loose
from vibrations to whic h the unit is subjected during the course of transpor tation. Chec k them
and make sure that they are all tightl y fastened. (If the y are loose, it could give rise to b urn-out
of the wires.)
4) Specification of power sour ce
5) Confirm that electrical capacity is sufficient.
6) Be sure that the star ting volta ge is maintained at more than 90 per cent of the rated volta ge
1/50~1/100 slope

7) Confirm that the cab le thickness is as specified in the po wer sources specification.
(Par ticularly note the relation between cab le length and thickness.)
8) Never fail to equip a leaka ge breaker where it is wet or moist.
9) The f ollowing tr oubles w ould be caused by v oltag e drop-do wn.
• Vibr ation of a magnetic switch, damage on the contact point, fuse breaking, disturbance b y the nor-
mal function of an over load protection device .
• Proper star ting pow er is not given to the compressor .
