3.11 Charger
D620 uses PMIC (Power Management IC) for charging control. The PMIC (PM8926) circuit includes the charging pass transistor
detects the VDD and VBAT voltages, and its control driver.
Charging Procedure
- Supply the VCHG use a TA or u-USB cable
- PM8926 control the charging current
- Charging current flows into the main battery & system current
Troubleshooting Check Point
- Connection of the TA or u-USB cable
- Charging current path
- Main battery
During charging operation, Internal detector circuits measure these voltages to recognize when an external supply. And then, SW-
controlled charging start.
