Before Operation - VCR part

Using your unit for the very first time

Notes

For the following steps we assume that you have just
connected your video recorder for the very first time.
To  make  tuning  TV  stations  an  easy  task  your  VCR
incorporates  the  Automatic Channel Memory
System (ACMS)
.  This  system  will  automatically  tune
and  store  TV  channels  to  your  VCR.  While  this  is
happening the clock (date & time) in the video recorder
will be set automatically.

The ACMS system relies on signals transmitted by the TV
Station, for auto clock setting and station identification. If
the TV  broadcast  signal  is  weak  or  fluctuates  your  VCR
may  not  detect  the  necessary  information  and  will  be
unable to identify station names and sort them correctly.
To  overcome  this  problem  please  turn  to  the  MANUAL
TUNING
section of this book on page 15.

11

Make sure that you have correctly installed your
VCR and tuned a video channel on your TV as
described earlier in this book.
Press POWER to turn on your VCR.
If you have a satellite receiver make sure that it is
connected to your VCR, switched on and Sky News
has been selected.

(Initial Menu Screen)

If the initial Menu Screen doesn’t appear on
screen, make sure that you have tuned your
TV to a video channel. Or if this is correct it
may mean that your VCR is already tuned.

2

Press OK to start the automatic tuning process.

complete.

Press
